Timing is everything, and the time is ripe for change.

Long-time subscribers of this magazine have seen many changes - some subtle, some boldly apparent, like our redesign and rebranding. I'm thrilled to say that since our relaunch at the beginning of this year, we've significantly grown our community and market share and now deliver more content than we ever have before. We're attracting the best new thought leaders in the information management industry to contribute articles and write blogs on our Web site. We have more news, interviews, case studies and DM Radio broadcasts. And, while I can't share details at this point, please visit info-mgmt.com frequently over the next few months to check out new services we're introducing.

So change is good, but it can also be difficult. With this June issue, we're modifying our production model of the magazine. Our June issue will be published only in digital format. For the remainder of the year, we'll publish three more "hard copy" issues, supplemented by a digital-only issue called Information Management Focus - a topical special edition to keep you informed during the in-between months.

One-third of our subscribers already opted to receive the Texterity digital version of the magazine and are familiar with its powerful presentation and functionality for downloading, searching and printing. For the rest of you, this June issue will serve as an introduction.

I have not been shy when it comes to sharing my opinion in the print versus online debate: I love the hard-copy magazine. However, digital media presents extensive opportunities for product enhancements that we can't match in print. Our digital platform opens the door for a more interactive presentation with the same visually appealing presentation of the magazine.

Here's the new schedule, so you know when to expect your magazine:

  • June digital issue: emailed 5/26
  • July/Aug. print issue: mailed 7/23
  • Sept./Oct. print issue: mailed 9/24
  • Nov./Dec. print issue: mailed 11/19

Special editions of Information Management Focus (digital only) will be emailed to subscribers on August 20 and October 22.

Please send me your feedback and visit info-mgmt.com as our community continues to grow. Enjoy the issue,
Julie Langenkamp
