Despite a slowing economy, a new study from Digi International suggests that companies will continue to invest in wireless networking and providing wireless access to data warehouses or other internal sources of information.

The survey, which polled more than 300 mid-to-senior level IT networking and management executives, revealed that while 53 percent regard cost as the greatest barrier to adoption of wireless technology in their networks, a significant number (67) percent still intend to move forward in wirelessly connecting devices used in industrial automation and retail environments to their networks.
