HexaTier (formerly GreenSQL) announced its official relaunch at the Cybertech conference in Tel Aviv, Israel, unveiling its new company name, brand and positioning. The company rebranding reflects a new focus on providing enterprises with database security and compliance in the cloud.

The company also announced the appointment of Dan Dinnar as HexaTier’s new CEO. Dinnar joined the company in late 2015, bringing with him over 13 years of experience as vice president of sales for CyberArk Software, where he helped lead the company to an IPO. Dinnar replaced former CEO Amir Sadeh, who will continue to serve as Chairman of HexaTier’s board of members.

In making the announcement, a company spokesperson noted that HexaTier “builds on the patented Database Reverse Proxy technology and market traction of GreenSQL.”

GreenSQL entered the market six years ago with database security and compliance tools for SMBs.

HexaTier is now pioneering what the spokesperson describes as “an easily deployed cloud solution for database security, finally removing the barrier for any enterprise to make the move to the cloud with confidence. With a sweeping security lineup, the company offers the world’s first unified database security platform that protects hosted databases and DBaaS from both internal and external attacks, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.”
