Fairfax, Va., Dec. 15, 1999 – Datametrics Systems Corporation, a subsidiary of Zitel Corporation, announced its new VisualPulse product. This new product enables monitoring of specific Web sites, servers and network nodes anywhere over the Internet, across a corporate intranet or extranet or any combination of these, visually providing real-time and historical reports on network latency and packet loss.

A server-based product complemented by the company’s other “visual” tools, VisualPulse is targeted at service providers, Web-hosting companies, applications service providers (ASPs) and Internet service providers (ISPs) that need a fast, visual way to see how their service offering is running and where problems occur. The new product can be integrated with the company’s VisualRoute Server product, instantly providing visual trace-route information to the servers or sites being monitored.

Available immediately, pricing for VisualPulse for Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT/2000 starts at $99.95 (single copy, five-monitored elements, list price). Versions for Sun Solaris and Linux will be available in January 2000. Licenses for a larger number of monitored elements are available, as well as a VisualPulse + VisualRoute server bundle for maximum reporting and troubleshooting capability.
