Looking for a good conference or summit related to data analytics and business intelligence? There are lots to choose from this year. In the course of the next few weeks Information Management will offer a comprehensive events calendar for data professionals and IT leaders. Below are upcoming events offered for January and February.

 

January 2016

 

◊ Event: Chief Analytics Officer Forum

Dates: Jan. 26-27

Location: New York, NY

Description: In partnership with the global Chief Data Officer Forum series, the CAO Forum brings the senior analytics community together to discuss the most critical data and analytics challenges faced by their organizations and the wider industry as a whole. ◊ Event: BIWA Summit 2016 -- Oracle Big Data and Analytics User Conference

Dates: Jan. 26-28

Location: Redwood Shores, CA

Description: Held at the Oracle HQ Conference Center, this conference features six tracks devoted to data analytics and data management: Advanced Analytics; BI & Visualization; Big Data; Data Warehousing & SQL; Spatial & Graph; and the Internet of Things.

 

◊ Event: Business Analytics Innovation Summit & Big Data Innovation Summit

Dates: Jan. 28-29

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Description: These are two companion events, with each focusing in depth on its signature theme. Overall topics include Business Analytics Use Cases; Capitalizing on the Power of Big Data; Predictive Analytics; Logical Data Warehousing; Analytics for the Future; Real Time Analytics; and Consumer Analytics.

 

◊ Event: Re:Work 4th Global Deep Learning Summit

Dates: Jan. 28-29

Location: San Francisco, CA

Description: This summit if part of a multiple track event, which includes the Deep Learning Summit and the Virtual Assistant Summit. Attendees will explore advances in deep learning and smart artificial intelligence from leading industry experts in speech and image recognition, neural networks and big data; and how deep learning will impact communications, manufacturing, healthcare and transportation.

 

◊ Event: TDWI Conference

Dates: Jan. 31-Feb. 5

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Description: TDWI is one of the leading providers of training and educational events around all things data. This conference will offer a series of tuitorials on four key data pillars: Leadership & Innovation Experience; Analytics Experience; Big Data Experience; and Data Management Experience.

 

February 2016

 

◊ Event: IoT Data Analytics and Visualization

Dates: Feb. 9-11

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Description: The IoT Data Analytics & Visualization Summit is billed as the first dedicated event to tackle and showcase the ways in which companies can evolve their strategy and focus from just connecting things to capturing insights in order to achieve true value from IoT.

 

◊ Event: HANA 2016

Dates: Feb. 16-19

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Description: This conference is targeted to organizations that are evaluating, implementing, or optimizing SAP HANA for big data and real time analytics.

 

◊ Events: Predictive Analytics Innovation Summit & Apache Hadoop Innovation Summit & Data Science Innovation Summit

Dates: Feb. 18-19

Location: San Diego, CA

Description: These are related events, each with its own in-depth focus on somewhat different themes. The Predictive Analytics summit will focus on seven analytics-related tracks: Predictive Analytics; Machine Learning; NLP & Text Mining; Marketing Analytics; Big Data; Customer Analytics; and Data Science. The Hadoop Innovation summit will focus on data management and analytics with the Hadoop platform. The Data Science summit will focus on Data Science; Data Analytics; Data Architecture; Data Engineering; Insights & Analytics; Data Culture; and Team Recruiting.

 

◊ Event: American Statistical Association Conference on Statistical Practice

Dates: Feb. 18-20

Location: San Diego, CA

Description: The conference is divided into four tracks: Communication, Impact and Career Development; Data Modeling and Analytics; Big Data Prediction and Analytics; and Software, Programming and Graphics.

 

◊ Event: 9th ACM International Conference On Web Search and Data Mining (WSDM)

Dates: Feb. 22-25

Location: San Francisco, CA

Description: WSDM (pronounced "wisdom") is one of the premier conferences on web inspired research involving search and data mining. This year's program will include 3 keynotes, 4 invited talks for Practice & Experience Track, a VC/Industry Day, and a WSDM Cup competition.

 

◊ Event: BHI 2016 – IEEE International Conference on Biommedical and Health Infomatics

Dates: Feb. 24-27

Location: Las Vegas, NV

Description: Targeted to the healthcare industry, this event is a special topic conference of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (IEEE-EMBS). BHI2016 is co-located with the Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition. The main theme of the BHI2016 is the “Integrative informatics for precision and preventive medicine.”
