The Credentials Network has announced the launch of a no-cost daily journal. Hugh Carty, publisher, said that the journal would document the issues faced by information technology practitioners in their daily lives as the forces of downsizing, outsourcing and process improvement work their way through the economy.

Carty announced "With the inauguration of the Journal, we bring into sharp focus both the daily and long term concerns of the IT professional. Innovation in the application of information technology has led us to re-think our approach to maintaining current skills and to identify and develop new ones" Carty said. "Changes in our society and economy have produced more risk for the IT professional, as they have for nearly all segments of society. We use technology to talk to our government when we want to vote, renew a driver license or let our elected representatives know how we feel about an issue. We can conduct business from our office buildings or the comfort of our home. So can those who compete with us."
