Companies the recently introduced cloud-based products include:

Predixion Software, which introduced Predixion Insight for Excel and PowerPivot, a self-service, cloud-based predictive analytics platform. Predixion Insight, which is fully integrated with Microsoft’s BI software and harnesses Microsoft’s memory data analysis tool PowerPivot, is designed to enable users to create, manage and run predictive models without extensive training or specific knowledge of the methodologies.

Rackspace Hosting, which  announced the release of its toolkit to enable developers to deploy applications to its Rackspace cloud infrastructure. With Rackspace Cloud Plug-In for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, deployment and provisioning time has been reduced and users are provided with a single cloud management portal, according to the company. Also, the toolkit is said to reduce errors and complexity with a layer of automation not possible without integration.  

RiseSmart, which released SmartRedeploy, an SaaS solution that utilizes matching technology to assist companies in reducing severance and recruitment costs while retaining talent. The technology matches workers’ talents, creates “watch lists,” compares internal and external employee pools, and advertises and highlights positions.
