Citigate Hudson, a provider of business intelligence and custom database systems, announced that it has acquired Progressive Systems Consulting, a firm specializing in custom software solutions.

With the acquisition, Andrew Brust, Progressive's founder and chief executive, joins Citigate Hudson in the position of chief, New Technology. As a Microsoft Regional Director for New York and New Jersey, Brust is one of 146 worldwide independent developers, including 43 in the U.S. , recognized as experts in emerging Microsoft .NET technologies. Brust also is a vice chairman of the New York Software Industry Association (NYSIA) Board of Directors, a recognized leader of the .NET development community and a co-founder and co-moderator of the New York City .NET Developer's Group. 

In his new position Brust will use his expertise to promote innovative technologies to the information technology industry as well as take a key role in designing custom solutions for existing and prospective Citigate Hudson clients.
