Inspectorate Chooses AvantGard

Inspectorate, one of the leading inspections and testing organizations, chose SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables Management solution to help it automate and streamline processes, institute controls and gain greater visibility across the order-to-cash cycle.

AvantGard Receivables offers credit and collections software that drives automation, workflow and collaboration across the order-to-cash cycle, helping organizations gain visibility and control and improve liquidity management.

“Our heavy reliance on spreadsheets and poorly organized data, plus a shortfall in our reporting capabilities, has made managing collections and disputes a costly, time-consuming task,” said Barry Benton, chief financial officer at Inspectorate. “We therefore required a solution that could help us to eliminate our manual processes, improve operational productivity and obtain greater visibility into our cash flow. SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables will help us to make substantial process improvements - providing the sophisticated workflow, reporting, monitoring and tracking capabilities we desire for more strategic collections and deductions management.”

St. Marien Amberg Hospital Goes Green with SANmelody

St. Marien Amberg Hospital, a German teaching hospital, implemented DataCore Software’s SANmelody as the storage foundation that supports its information systems and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) project running on a VMware environment.

The virtual infrastructure not only offers high availability, better performance and lower management costs, but also halves the electricity and cooling costs by using less hardware to do more work.

“By using a combination of DataCore storage and VMware server virtualization, we have laid the foundation for an IT environment of the future,” said Dietmar Braeuer, head of IT at St. Marien Amberg Hospital. “More flexibility, more functionality and performance, less hardware.”

Tesco Selects SunGard’s AvantGard

Tesco, an international retailer, selected SunGard’s AvantGard to provide it with both a hosted treasury management solution and an integrated platform for SWIFTNet messaging and connectivity.

Seven years ago Tesco selected SunGard’s AvantGard as its treasury management solution. Tesco expanded its relationship with SunGard by opting to have SunGard host its AvantGard solution, helping Tesco’s staff concentrate on its core competencies while significantly reducing its reliance on local IT resources. The hosted solution offered by SunGard helps provide secure online customer access with a single point of contact for all support elements.

“With a platform now in place that can be expanded for global reach, we are able to input forecasting data from subsidiaries in China, Thailand and Poland. This is increasingly important as our business in those countries continues to expand at a rapid rate. We are confident in our decision to select SunGard’s cash management framework for our business,” Chris Rowland, treasury manager at Tesco.
