Cary North Carolina Delivers Crime Information with Pitney Bowes

Town of Cary, North Carolina is utilizing Pitney Bowes MapInfo location intelligence solutions to power its interactive crime statistics Web site.


The crime map section at Maps Online enables citizens to instantly view the types and locations of crimes that have occurred across the entire town. The crime map section was developed with MapXtreme software, which enables current and prospective residents to get instantaneous access to recent and historical crime data in a very efficient, visual format.


“Prior to rolling out our crime map section on Maps Online, requests for reports went directly to the Cary police department clerks,” said Mike Mull, applications manager, Town of Cary. “With Pitney Bowes MapInfo location intelligence solutions, we can consolidate crime data into an easy to understand digital map of crime statistics that is accessible to users around the clock. With real-time access, users can become informed citizens and even take an active role in the town’s crime prevention.”


Scottish Water Chooses Graham Technology


Scottish Water awarded a contract to Graham Technology, a provider of customer-oriented business software and services, aimed at improving its water and sewerage connections service.


This new contract forms part of a four-year framework agreement between Atos Origin and Scottish Water for application development projects and programs.

This new contract will streamline the process that builders and property developers go through when applying for water and sewerage connections to new properties. Once fully implemented, the new online system will provide operational efficiencies and reduce costs for Scottish Water.


"We have selected Atos Origin, in partnership with Graham Technology, due to their proven expertise in implementing large and complex business change and customer-service focused IT programs," said David Brown, head of IT, Scottish Water. "They will provide Scottish Water with the right mix of technical and project management capability and I am confident that, working together, we will achieve our business aspirations."


ARCA SGR SpA Implements SunGard’s Asset Arena Trader Version 6.0


ARCA SGR SpA (ARCA) implemented SunGard’s Asset Arena Trader Version 6.0 solution to help expand and further automate its trading operations. 


To grow its business in an increasingly competitive environment, ARCA needed to enhance the scalability and operational efficiency of its trading platform for fixed-income securities. Sikorsky Aircraft Selects SPSS Predictive Analytics


Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a leader in the design and manufacture of helicopters for commercial, industrial and military industries, selected predictive analytics software from SPSS Inc. to increase customer loyalty by proactively anticipating customer needs in helicopter fleets.


Sikorsky helicopters are used by all five branches of the United States armed forces, along with military services and commercial operators in more than 40 nations.
