Shire Selects SAS Drug Development 

Shire, a global specialty biopharmaceutical company, selected SAS Drug Development as the platform for its clinical trials data.
SAS’ scalability and flexibility were features important to Shire, which has grown rapidly through acquisitions and mergers over its nearly twenty-five year history. Shire, which has a presence in 23 countries and markets medicines in more than 45 countries, needed a global solution for managing and processing its clinical trial data.
“Shire is excited about our partnership with SAS, and we look forward to leveraging the SAS Drug Development platform to manage our clinical trial data,” said Nick Ronca, associate director clinical R&D, Shire Pharmaceuticals. 

Esselunga Consolidates Data with Netezza

Italian superstore chain Esselunga S.p.A. moved its enterprise data warehouse platform to Netezza, consolidating its data and enhancing consistency when compiling statutory reports. 
Driven by a desire to improve the performance and control the costs associated with its analytics, Esselunga is using the Netezza data warehouse appliance for geo marketing, customer scoring according to frequency and spend, as well as interactive reporting.
The IT manager for data warehousing and business intelligence director at Esselunga explained, "We selected Netezza for its proven ability to outperform legacy systems and tailor analytics to our needs. The system came recommended by our trusted IT partner, ICare. Specialists in data warehousing and business intelligence, ICare specified and supplied the complete solution. Because of the results we are seeing with Netezza, we have grown our data warehouse footprint with them."

Tradewire Implements SunGard

Tradewire LLC, a U.S. broker dealer with a focus on institutional and private clients in Latin America, implemented a comprehensive SunGard trading solution to support its global trading business. 
SunGard’s GL Win and Assent solutions provide Tradewire with 360 degree transaction lifecycle management. SunGard is supporting Tradewire’s core business, institutional equity trading for buy-side customers. 
Alexandre Artmann, chief executive officer of Tradewire, said, “SunGard’s end-to-end suite of services helps us provide complete, cost-efficient brokerage services to our institutional customers. SunGard also provides a program to assist us in achieving cost efficiencies.”

Oxford University Uses SANmelody

Oxford University Computing Services is implementing DataCore’s SANmelody as the storage platform to sit behind their VM4 Rent service. 

OUCS Network Systems Management Service provides IT services for all members of Oxford University by centrally operating, developing and supporting the University’s primary computing infrastructure and services on a charge-back basis across 25 colleges and 15 departments across many campuses throughout Oxford.

American Electric Power Chooses DataDirect 

American Electric Power deployed the DataDirect Shadow product to provide mainframe Web services for service-oriented architecture enablement of its mainframe-based customer information system.

Expedia Chooses Neptuny Caplan

Expedia, a leading online travel company, selected Caplan, Neptuny’s flagship product, as the designated capacity planning solution after a selection process of several tools.

Expedia selected Caplan as the tool that best matches the requirements for integrating performance metrics from multiple data sources and management tools. "We appreciated Caplan’s support for multiple data formats, integration with a wide range of operational tools, and the capabilities to correlate business and infrastructure KPIs” said Karl Armani, senior director of capacity management at Expedia.

Malt-O-Meal Partners with LumiData

Malt-O-Meal selected LumiData’s SOLYS software as its demand data solution.

Therese Kistler, Manager Consumer Insights for Malt-O-Meal was tasked with finding a data management product. “We researched all the available demand data products available and when we compared them end-to-end, we found that SOLYS was the gold standard for our Target team. Having compared SOLYS to all the other tools, it wasn’t a hard decision for us.” 
She continues, “Our account managers use SOLYS on a daily basis and have already had some early wins. SOLYS makes it very simple for us to identify and understand what drives consumer behavior at the shelf. At the same time, it provides us with the scan data and insights we need to effectively manage the category.” 

India’s Largest Retailer Selects Greenplum

Future Group deployed Greenplum Database for its Enterprise Data Cloud in support of large-scale data analytics for its multiformat nationwide chain of retail stores.
Future Group is India’s largest retailer with highly recognized retail brands such as Big Bazaar, Food Bazaar, Pantaloons, Central, Ezone along with others which span the consumer market.

The Procter & Gamble Company selected analytics from SPSS Inc. 

Procter & Gamble (P&G), which manufactures brands including Tide, Pampers, Pantene and Crest, has relied on SPSS Predictive Analytics Software for nearly a decade.
