Nationwide Financial Services Selects WebFOCUS

Nationwide Financial Services, Inc. selected WebFOCUS to standardize on a single operational reporting tool and improve its data reach.

Nationwide's disparate reporting tools and databases caused business users to lose valuable time searching for the right information. The company needed to centralize its infrastructure, while maintaining a federated reporting model, which would empower business users with real-time information and customized reports.

"We wanted to present information, such as yesterday's sales results, in a timely manner to our business users so they could analyze it and respond accordingly. That was our motivation to consolidate our operational reporting,” said P. Bhasker, CTO of Nationwide Financial. "WebFOCUS will not only help us manage costs through its strategic platform, but it also represents a very good model from a ROI perspective.”

“We did an in-depth search for the right vendor because we wanted a true HR business partner with a solid solution to address our extensive business requirements,” said Kim Clarke, senior vice president and chief people officer for Key Energy. “From the product demonstration to the references, Ultimate Software delivered the first-class experience we were looking for. Innovative Discovery Selects Dataupia

Innovative Discovery selected the Dataupia Satori Server to power its Electronic Data Discovery solution.

Dataupia will allow Innovative Discovery to increase access to electronic evidence for civil and criminal litigation and compliance discovery data sets, which are increasingly large and complex.

“The exponential growth of electronic evidence and compliance data made selecting the right data infrastructure imperative. We couldn’t risk experiencing an ultimate performance and capacity limit that would inhibit our ability to remain competitive in our market or prevent us from meeting and exceeding client expectations,” said Allen C. Outlaw, president and CEO, Innovative Discovery.  “Dataupia not only meets our data management needs, but also enables Microsoft SQL Server to scale. This eliminates the need to rewrite our application or purchase the traditionally required hardware to accommodate our data performance and/or capacity requirements.”

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Goes Live With Appian Enterprise

Enterprise Rent-A-Car went live with its Appian-based Request Online system.

Request Online is dedicated to fulfilling product and service requests from Enterprise’s more than 65,000 employees worldwide.

Utilizing Appian, Enterprise can consolidate functionality to increase manageability of the request services system, collect process-based data for performance reporting and utilize a common platform to accommodate change and growth.

“Our primary goal for the system was making the request process invisible – meaning employees don’t need to know or do anything about the process of requesting, fulfilling or following up,” said Pat Steinmann, department manager of request services, Enterprise Rent-A-Car. “We had several significant requirements. In addition to being intuitive for our users, we needed the system to ensure adherence to our many policies and standards, enable the 50 plus teams that work fulfillment tasks to manage their workloads efficiently and enable our department to respond to a rapid rate of change. Appian provided the technology to meet all of those objectives and also acted as a true partner, assisting us with knowledge transfer, best practices, and training, and listening to our feedback on the product and its development roadmap.”
