October 30, 2012 – A new IT services solution from enterprise assets management software and mainframe provider BMC looks to bring a mobile app flair to dealing with enterprise issues like infrastructure downtime or printer problems.
BMC MyIT software highlights IT trouble issues across different areas of the enterprise in the form of an interface that resembles a social location app. Self-service features enable on-premise and remote workers to peer into and raise performance concerns with enterprise IT from their laptop, desktop computer or mobile device. End users can personalize the software for their workplace roles and location, as well as their preference on receiving information from the IT department, and through solution add-ons there is support for BYOD. There are also features to provide access to enterprise information in “content lockers” for sharing and collaboration. The software features integration with BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite as well as a variety of hardware, software and cloud offerings from other vendors.
