CA Technologies on Tuesday introduced CA Application Performance Management 9.1, a unified application, infrastructure and network performance system. The product is designed to give organizations better control of end-users’ experiences by providing improved visibility across a hybrid cloud infrastructure.

The product links business transaction performance with the dependent application, network and infrastructure components, according to Mike Sargent, general manager, Service Assurance at CA Technologies. It will allow companies “to be in complete control of the end-user experience, and rapidly isolate, diagnose and resolve problems across disparate technology silos,” Sargent said in a statement.

A key feature of CA Application Performance Management (CA APM) 9.1 is Unified End-User Experience Monitoring, which monitors user experience and network performance through a single appliance, making it faster and easier to identify, diagnose and resolve transaction performance problems caused by the network.

CA APM monitors all Web and non-Web transactions in realtime as they traverse a hybrid cloud infrastructure to help proactively identify, diagnose and resolve problems before end users are affected and assure that service-delivery levels meet business objectives, CA says.

With CA APM 9.1, companies will be able to have an increased understanding of how application, network and infrastructure components affect service quality; how effective the network is at delivering applications to users; and how well a hybrid cloud infrastructure is delivering against business objectives and service level agreements.

It’s also designed to help organizations increase collaboration among the IT teams that are responsible for assuring optimal performance of services.
