Business Objects announced that it has signed a worldwide OEM agreement with IBM. As part of the agreement, Crystal Version 10 will provide integrated reporting for IBM's WebSphere Studio and IBM
Rational Software, further strengthening the IBM Software Development Platform. Business Objects already provides tightly integrated solutions for both WebSphere Studio and Rational Software, and Crystal
products will now be embedded as part of future releases of these platforms.

With Crystal Version 10, Business Objects offers customers a world-class reporting solution designed to integrate seamlessly with a company's existing data, Web and application investments. The
integration of Crystal Version 10 with IBM WebSphere technology enables developers to utilize reporting and analysis functionality directly within their WebSphere Studio development environment. For
Rational customers, the integration will deliver easy access to reports that provide key software development metrics such as projects status and quality. The combined solution improves the software development process by enabling users to more easily maintain standards, raise productivity and better manage their business.

Initial integration between Crystal Reports and IBM WebSphere Studio is available today, and is "Ready for WebSphere Studio Software" validated. In addition, special versions of Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise will be provided out of the box with future releases of the IBM WebSphere Studio and the Rational Software Development Solutions.

In addition to this OEM agreement, Business Objects, a Premier Partner of IBM PartnerWorld for Developers, has several joint technology, sales, and marketing agreements with IBM. For example,
Business Objects solutions are embedded with Tivoli Data Warehouse and integrated with Lotus Workplace for Business Controls and Reporting, and On Demand Workplace for Retail solutions from IBM. Joint customers include Aetna, Huntington National Bank, Safeway and Choice Hotels among others.

The validated integration pack for Crystal Reports 10 and WebSphere Studio Application Developer 5.1.1 is now available for download from the following link: www.businessobjects.com/products/reporting/crystalreports/java/websphere/default.asp.
