Palo Alto, CA, Nov. 16, 1999 - Brio Technology, Inc. announced the general availability of Brio.Enterprise 6.0.5, its enterprise business intelligence product suite that supports eight languages and tightly integrates with Brio's enterprise information portal to provide self-service access to corporate information. Previously available in English, Brio.Enterprise 6.0.5 now supports an extensive array of languages critical to global business, including Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazilian), as well as Spanish. In addition to offering expanded language support, Brio.Enterprise also leverages key features within Brio.Portal 6.0, creating a Web-based desktop "e-Console" from which users throughout the organization and around the world can access, query and analyze corporate information for better, faster decision making.

"When providing a business intelligence suite, it is important that you have an integrated set of products that can leverage one delivery mechanism in and outside of the enterprise," said Mark A. Smith, program director of META Group. "Beyond this, it is critical that you can support a multitude of languages as the portal evolves into the ubiquitous interface to deliver and interact with information across geographic barriers. Companies such as Brio are taking the next step by integrating their product offerings."

Global organizations including Carrefour, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Motorola and the United Nations have adopted Brio's business intelligence technology because it allows for a standard business intelligence tool that can scale and yet be powerful enough to meet the needs of the entire enterprise. The combination of the two products will provide these global customers with mass personalization capabilities and dynamic access and execution of Brio documents - enabling users to make real-time decisions based on the most accurate and current information.
