Oakland, Calif., Oct. 18, 1999 - Business Objects has selected BASE Consulting Group (now Knightsbridge Solutions), a business intelligence and data warehousing consulting and training service, to present two sessions at its 1999 International Conference, Oct. 17-20, at the Sheraton Harbor Island in San Diego.

Jonathan Wu, co-founder and managing director of BASE, will present "Building a Data Mart for your Oracle Applications," on Monday, Oct. 18, 3:15-4:15 p.m. This session will address reporting issues with the Oracle applications data model and provide instruction in building a data mart for the Oracle applications based on fundamentals such as approach, methodology, issues to consider, critical success factors, experiences and successes and failures. Morgan Hunt, information access practice line director, will present "Empowering ERP End Users with a Corporate Information Environment," on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 10:00-11:00 a.m. This session will propose a strategy for a "corporate information environment" which combines data warehousing technology with a Business Objects data delivery solution allowing business users to tap into their vast store of operational data to enable monitoring and response to business trends and facilitate forecasting and planning efforts.
