Aquilent, a provider of cloud, Web and mobile technologies for the federal government, announced a cloud resource management portal, Olympus Powered by Aquilent. The new offering is designed to help federal agencies manage the cloud environment and meet the increasingly complex requirements of the Federal Cloud First Policy, the company says.

Olympus Powered by Aquilent allows agencies to bridge the gap between native cloud tools and their individualized cloud infrastructures. Organizations using Aquilent's cloud hosting environment can leverage the portal to manage all cloud resources in consistent, unified and logical categories; easily view all billing and utilization activity down to the resource level; manage access and fully audit all activities with a single sign-on; and integrate business systems and processes through the portal platform.

Federal agencies typically develop and manage their resources based on applications and environments, Aquilent says, and in many cases the available cloud tools don’t directly match this standardized model. Olympus bridges this gap, reducing the need for cloud expertise.

“Our federal customers have one main focus, and that is to serve citizens effectively as set forth within their missions,” David Fout, Aquilent CEO, said in a statement. “The cloud should be a strategic enabler, and with Olympus Powered by Aquilent our customers will be able to leverage, monitor and manage their cloud assets in support of their missions in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.”
