Welcome to the 2001 DM Review 100. This special issue of DM Review acknowledges the top 100 companies in the business intelligence industry as chosen by you, our readers. The results are based on a product usage and company rating survey conducted by Market Perspectives. DM Review readers were asked to rate the products used in their organizations for business intelligence, data warehousing, analytic applications and customer relationship management. They were also asked to provide an overall rating of the vendors of those products based on expertise, service and support. The DM Review 100 were chosen based on a weighting process that made calculated adjustments for the rating scores for each product, the number of sites reporting use of the product, the number of products in a given category, the number of categories in which the company's products appeared and the overall customer satisfaction rating for each company.

In today's economy, it is more important than ever that businesses offer customers true business value for their expenditures.
