Alphablox Corporation, a leading provider of InLine Analytics for enterprise solutions, announced that out of IBM's 90,000 business partners, it has been selected as one of 34 business partners to deliver upon the new IBM Business Performance Management (BPM) initiative. Launched earlier this month, the IBM BPM initiative is aimed at enabling dramatic improvements by aligning a customer's core assets - people, information, technology and processes. The Alphablox InLine Analytics platform provides a critical layer of the IBM BPM initiative by enabling real-time visibility into business processes for proactive response to IT system and business performance.
The IBM BPM Solution enables customers to improve their visibility into their business environment to capture critical information and quickly respond to key performance indicators (KPIs) in order to optimize their business performance. Alphablox provides the critical analytic layer that analyzes KPIs through its InLine Analytics platform. The Alphablox InLine Analytics Platform integrates analytic capabilities into customer's business processes through prebuilt components for analytic and alerting functionality. This level of real-time visibility enables customers to proactively manage their business processes to reduce the amount of reactive corrections.
As part of their BPM launch at PartnerWorld in Las Vegas, IBM demonstrated Alphablox's analytic and alerting technology within its BPM Solution demonstration for the Retail industry. According to the demonstration, "Retail Store Managers are overwhelmed by issues and overloaded with information. They need to monitor and manage critical business activities including inventory levels, employee time and attendance information, and customer activity levels. The Retail Performance Management Solution helps Store Managers filter out lesser information and issues to get right to the critical actionable information and issues that needs to be addressed. This creates an on demand workplace in a 'sense and respond' retail environment. Management provides visibility into business operations at the strategic level through KPIs, enables process improvement through measurements at the business process level, allows management by exception through sense and respond monitors, and provides actionable intelligence through heavy duty analytics and reporting."
