Alphablox Corporation, a provider of InLine Analytics for enterprise solutions, announced the appointment of Nicholas Halsey to the newly created position of senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. An early leader and veteran in the business intelligence space, Halsey held key sales and marketing executive positions at Brio Technology, Inc., one of the companies that defined the business intelligence market. Most recently, he served as managing director and cofounder of Rostrevor Partners, a San Francisco high technology consulting firm. His client engagements included strategic consulting and financial services for companies such as Lightspeed Software, a content management and analytic solutions software company; Corticon Technologies, the leading provider of next-generation business rules software; and Biz360, a software company supplying analytic applications that measure marketing effectiveness. At Alphablox, Halsey will assume responsibility for all direct sales, international distribution, customer service and marketing.
