If you read DM Review and are not a member of DAMA, you are not taking advantage of what is perhaps the single best source for professional community, continuing education, networking and information in the field. The Data Management Association International (DAMA-I) is the premier organization for data professionals worldwide.

DAMA's Web site (www.dama.org) includes a list of all of our chapters and links to each chapter's Web site as well as information on our Member-at-Large program. The chapter Web sites list each chapter's programs and events. Speakers' presentations will keep you current on every aspect of contemporary data and information resource management. Many of the chapters post their speakers' presentations and professional papers as well as links to local events of interest.

The DAMA-I site has links to the latest information on our symposium and conferences and also non-DAMA, data-related events, many of which offer discounts to DAMA members.

Our Jobs Listing Page currently has more than 75 postings for jobs in data management. If you are looking for qualified people, this is the best place to reach data professionals everywhere. DAMA offers this service to the data management community at no charge, so take advantage of it.

New features on our Web site include the most comprehensive listing of courses of study at secondary educational institutions worldwide and online, an expanded listing of organizations offering professional training in data management disciplines and an expanded listing of professional certifications in data management. You can also find the table of contents and ordering information for the new fourth edition of our book, Guidelines to Implementing Data Resource Management.

What else can our site do for you? What information or links would you like to find on the DAMA Web site? My goal as Vice President of Online Services is to not only make the Web site an essential reference for data management professionals, but also to make it easy to use. Please drop me a note at VP_Online_Services@dama.org if you have ideas for ways that I can make this site a more useful and valued resource for you in your work.
