As Vice President of Conference Services for DAMA International (DAMA-I), my major objective is to provide the highest quality educational experiences for data management professionals worldwide. In fulfillment of this objective, DAMA- I produces three annual conferences, the DAMA-I Symposium, the DAMA-I Europe Conference and the DAMA-I Australia Conference.

The 14th Annual DAMA-I Symposium and the 6th Annual Wilshire Meta Data Conference were held in April 2002 in San Antonio, Texas. Not only was this one of DAMA's largest events, but it was also extremely successful in terms of attendee satisfaction. DAMA-I and Wilshire Conferences have already begun the planning for next year's event which will be held from April 27 to May 2, 2003, in Orlando. The deadline for the call for papers is September 15, 2002. Wilshire Conferences and the DAMA-I Conference Team are especially interested in proposals from corporate practitioners that reflect real-world experience and hands-on implementation in all areas of data management. For further information on the call for papers, please visit www.wilshireconferences.com/MD2003/index.htm.

The 3rd Annual DAMA-I Europe Conference will be held from October 21 to October 23, 2002, in London, UK. This conference is Europe's largest data management event. The DAMA Conference will be colocated with the IQ Europe Conference and the Meta Data Europe Conference. The theme of the DAMA conference is "Issues and Concerns of Today's Data Management Professional." Keynotes include Graeme Simsion, Larry English and a special joint keynote by Michael Brackett and John Zachman. DAMA tutorial presenters include Graeme Simsion and Graham Witt, Michael Brackett, John Zachman, Karen Lopez, Alec Sharp, Daniel Moody and Rick van der Lans. For further information regarding this event, please visit www.dama.org.

The 2002 DAMA-I Australia Conference will be held October 17 and 18, 2002, at the Melbourne Museum in Melbourne, Australia. The theme for this year's conference is "Data Management...Value to the Business." For further information, please visit www.dama.org.au/melbourne.

DAMA-I looks forward to seeing you at an upcoming DAMA event.
