Chicago-based trading networks and managed services provider 7ticks has launched direct access to futures and bond exchanges for asset managers and institutional investors within inter-dealer broker BGC Partner’s Rochelle Park, N.J. data center.
7ticks’ presence at BGC’s data center “facilitates low latency access and enhanced connectivity services to BGC’s proprietary trading platform for fixed income, futures, and derivative instruments,” according to both companies.
For qualified subscribers to BGCantor Market Data—BGC’s market data provider—7ticks will now be able to provide network access across the entire 7ticks global network for US Treasuries and products from electronic futures exchange ELX Futures.
Last week, BGCantor Market Data announced that Bloomberg will be offering data from ELX Futures.  Data will be distributed for ELX Futures by BGCantor Market Data and be available on all Bloomberg terminals as well as on B-Pipe upon the launch of the exchange.
“For algo traders, and those wanting to trade more complex strategies, latency is a key consideration,” said Robert Brown, global head of eBusiness Integration at BGC Partners. “By working with the 7ticks team to provide co-location and networking services to our clients and preferred vendors, we are offering our customers the ability to implement ultra-fast (complex event processing) solutions for our electronically traded products.”
Joe Bigane, managing director of 7ticks noted that the announcement is “another example of our rapid expansion to meet the growing demand for these electronic trading services.”
7ticks will be able to provide connectivity to major exchanges in Chicago, New York, New Jersey, London, and Frankfurt.
BGC and 7ticks are also working with a number of software suppliers to develop applications that trade BGC products and take advantage of fast connectivity to BGC’s electronic trading platform on 7ticks’ network.
