Nancy Jones is the chief marketing officer for Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz). Jones is responsible for product innovation, marketing, and corporate communications. In this role she manages the companys product strategy and development for its fixed annuity, variable annuity, and life insurance products. Her team leads brand management, marketing, and promotions of products and solutions through Allianz distributors and ultimately to the end consumer. In addition, Jones oversees public relations, internal communications, charitable giving, and the meeting and events services department. Prior to joining Allianz in 2008, Jones served as senior vice president of client experience and marketing operations at Ameriprise Financial. She also held several senior roles at American Express in the traditional financial advisory business, as well as developing new direct and online businesses. Her career in the financial services industry spans more than 20 years with roles in business strategy, product development, distribution channel management, and marketing.Originally from Edina, MN, Jones has a BBA in financial management from Southern Methodist University and an MBA in marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and FINRA Series 7 and 24 securities registrations. Jones is active in the community and serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Orchestra. Away from Allianz, Jones enjoys a variety of activities including traveling, the arts (theater, museums, music), golfing, working out, movies, reading, and cooking.
