Ms. Wimbish is the director of Retail Retirement, a part of Wells Fargo Retirement. In this role, she leads a department of over 230 team members, all of whom are focused on increasing Wells Fargo’s ability to help retail customers, through multiple channels, plan for and live a comfortable retirement.\r\nTo accomplish this goal, Ms. Wimbish and her team are focused on working with key partners across the organization – Wells Fargo Advisors, Wells Fargo Wealth Management and Wells Fargo Community Bank – to implement strategies that engage more current and prospective customers in retirement planning, products and services. \r\nMs. Wimbish joined Wells Fargo Retirement after five years leading the Latin America Group of Wachovia Securities, LLC headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, she was responsible for all activities conducted through offices in four southern hemisphere countries, as well as through the Miami and New York International Offices and a branch in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Prior to assuming this role, she held previous positions as the Chief Operating Officer of Wachovia Securities Financial Network, Chief Administrative Officer of the firm’s Independent Brokerage Group, and head of relationship management and brokerage operations at the firm’s investment management subsidiary. She joined the firm in 1996. \r\nMs. Wimbish’s background includes 17 years in banking, both commercial and retail, as well as roles in credit administration, project management and training. \r\nMs. Wimbish is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Richmond with a B.A. in mathematics and economics. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, and is a graduate of the School of Banking of the South and the Securities Industry Institute at Wharton. Her past community activities include Leadership Metro Richmond, the United Way, and the Girl Scouts Council. She and her husband live in Charlotte, North Carolina.\r\n
