For more than twenty years, Business Intelligence (BI) tools and applications have been used for creating reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analysis. They provide a way of getting relevant, insightful information to business users quickly and easily. In most organizations, BI projects have traditionally been driven by IT. Performance Management applications, which have also been with us for over two decades, are primarily implemented within the office of Finance, and are focused on financial processes, such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. In recent years, these two formerly discreet software categories and business processes - have been converging as organizations recognize the value of having an overall information management strategy that links enterprise reporting and analysis (ie. BI) to their financial planning and reporting systems.
This web seminar will explain the business drivers behind this convergence and highlight some integration best practices. And, you will hear the insights and experiences from IT executives at Gallup, a company built on delivering relevant, timely, and visionary information and research on how they are closing the loop by integrating their analytic and reporting platforms into Gallups overall EPM solutions.
