Date Held: April 27, 2010

Data Governance (DG) is vital to the success of MDM projects – both initially and ongoing. Enterprise-level DG, that includes the entire master data lifecycle, will be mandated as a core phase zero or phase one deliverable of most large-scale MDM projects.

In a 2010-2011 overview of more than 1,800 MDM programs of Global 5000 enterprises that spent an average of $1.2M USD for MDM software solutions, DG assistance from systems integrator (SI) partners is estimated to remain vital to the success of MDM programs as organizations deal with a shortage of MDM experience, tools and tool expertise. Given the substantial investment businesses undertake with their SI partners, the cost component must also be given close scrutiny, not only in effort to contain costs, but to insure the success of this vital corporate initiative.

Understanding the scope, diversity and churn of the SIs in the market to assist with master DG programs is tremendously challenging. In short, business and IT leadership chartered with defining and executing such programs need help to understand and navigate through the numerous options. The MDM Global Summit Series chairman, Aaron Zornes, will provide insights via market-driven data from his research firm’s latest MDM MarketPluse™ report.

This web seminar will provide that guidance as well as answer:

  • Why SI assistance is vital to the economic & practical success of DG programs
  • How to evaluate SIs & consultancies for this key capability
  • How to manage the relationship
  • Who the leading SIs & consultancies are by industry, MDM platform & geography
  • What are the key future trends that will impact this critical market
