SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse Enhanced by New HP Business Intelligence Assessment Services

May 17, 2010 – HP today announced a new suite of business intelligence assessment services in support of environments running the SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse component. The suite of services includes four separate assessment services: a rapid opportunity assessment, a technology assessment, a cost benefit assessment and a performance assessment.

Companies often deal with disconnected data warehouse environments built to support departmental information needs. The combined SAP NetWeaver/HP services enable clients to store increasingly large volumes of data on one system, allowing a single view of data. HP prepares clients with a roadmap to a single enterprise data warehouse infrastructure through an HP Neoview Advantage implementation that extends support of SAP NetWeaver BW to include non-SAP data.

For 20 years, HP and SAP have collaborated on joint installations on HP platforms and now have more than 25,000 joint customers. According to John Santaferraro, HP’s senior director of marketing communications, industry marketing lead, Business Intelligence Solutions, 65 percent of the instances of SAP NetWeaver BW are running on HP servers. Santaferraro states that the strengthened relationship between HP and SAP and suite of assessment services will allow the companies to confront challenges their joint customers may be facing.

“If we tie these assessments together, what we come out with is a business case for our customers,” says Santaferraro. “The assessments are the beginning of a whole information management practice for our SAP customers.”
