The offering will also provide support for Salesforce Identity, the recently announced standards-based identity service from Salesforce.com.
Ping IdentityBridge for Salesforce is designed to perform three crucial tasks: Seamlessly extend user identities from Active Directory to Salesforce, authenticate users and provide SSO from the desktop directly to Salesforce.
“Companies of all sizes want the benefits of transparent user management and seamless single sign-on [SSO] for their business-critical resources—whether for on-premises applications or a SaaS [software-as-a-service]-based solution like Salesforce,” Roger Oberg, vice president of marketing for Ping Identity, said in a statement. “By extending user management and standards-based SSO to the entire Salesforce Platform, including Salesforce Identity when it becomes available, customers will be able to tap into a wide variety of applications while leveraging their own existing identity infrastructure.”
Built on the Salesforce Platform, Ping IdentityBridge for Salesforce is immediately available on Salesforce.com’s AppExchange.
