OneShield Inc., a provider of policy and billing core systems for P&C insurers, has expanded its cloud services. Dragon Cloud will benefit insurance customers looking to lower their total cost of ownership (TCO) and increase flexibility for deploying and offering applications and services.

Dragon Cloud extends the full capabilities of OneShield Dragon to the cloud with the option of a private cloud or hybrid cloud approach, says the company. Dragon includes Dragon Policy, Dragon Billing, Dragon Rating and Dragon Intelligence, and is a solution in production across a combined 43 commercial, personal and specialty lines of business.

OneShield says Dragon Cloud features shared infrastructure to take advantage of cost efficiencies; support services; oversight and management of the customer's environments; flexible pricing models; customer control over when upgrades are accepted in the production environment; access to Dragon's core content and workflows; and outsourced maintenance, development and configuration services.
