Aster Data announced Aster Data nCluster 4.5, which allows companies to simplify development and management of highly advanced interactive analytic applications that process large data volumes. Key new features of nCluster 4.5 include: Aster Data Developer Express, an integrated visual environment for developing analytic applications with SQL and MapReduce; Aster Data Analytic Foundation, which accelerates the development of rich analytics with a suite of reusable building blocks for common analytic functions; and Aster Data Management Console 4.5, a new rich management console that makes it easy to monitor and manage big data and advanced analytic applications with an intuitive interface.

DCF Technologies Ltd. announced the availability of SafePeak 1.3 for SQL Server. SafePeak’s plug and play solution accelerates data access and retrieval providing immediate results, with no need to change existing databases or applications. SafePeak acts as a proxy cache between application servers and database servers. Auto-learning caching algorithms store SQL statement results in SafePeak memory, reducing database server load, eliminating traffic bottlenecks and increasing scalability and transaction throughput.

Based on Netezza's patented data streaming technology, the Netezza TwinFin i-Class appliance executes complex analytics in parallel within the database on extremely large data sets, significantly reducing costs and eliminating errors and delays organizations currently incur moving data into specialized databases for advanced analytics.
