Alchemy Solutions, Inc. unveiled NeoData zLink, a mainframe innovation offering unique flexibility for organizations considering migrating mainframe applications and data to Microsoft .NET. By enabling legacy applications to continue using data that still resides on the mainframe, NeoData zLink allows companies to choose what is moved from the mainframe to .NET.

Compuware Corporation announced a new offering called Gomez adVantage, a solution for optimizing application performance management across the entire application delivery chain from a single, unified dashboard. Gomez adVantage brings together Web performance and real-user monitoring solutions--Gomez and Vantage--into one integrated offering for organizations that deliver business-critical Web and mobile applications, including enterprises, software as a service providers and cloud infrastructure and platform providers.

ConnectWise released ConnectWise 2010. Many features were added at the suggestion of members of the ConnectWise Partner community. The enhancements improve the customizability of ConnectWise PSA, adds new employee scheduling and dispatch functions and improves control over billing and sales.

Information Builders announced WebFOCUS for IBM System z Data Warehousing, a specialized edition of the WebFOCUS System z product line. It is designed to offer a powerful, flexible, secure, and cost-effective tool for System z users interested in implementing enterprise-scale data warehousing and BI solutions while leveraging IBM native z/OS and zIIP specialty engine capabilities.

MicroStrategy Incorporated announced MicroStrategy 9 Release 2. The latest software release from MicroStrategy includes significant enhancements that make business intelligence faster for BI users, even at the highest scale of usage. MicroStrategy's latest release includes: faster analysis, faster Web interactivity, faster dashboards, faster data loading, easier dashboard applications and more.

Netezza Corporation announced the Netezza Skimmer data warehouse appliance. The Skimmer appliance is versatile with a compact footprint and can power development groups and data marts or serve as a platform for “application appliances” that is very easy to deploy and manage. The Netezza Skimmer appliance’s technology comes straight from the technology that powers the Netezza TwinFin. Skimmer represents another step in Netezza’s vision for the integrated analytics enterprise. By allowing analytics to be more richly embedded and deployed throughout the enterprise, data-driven decisions and strategies can be used by team members, partners and suppliers to maintain competitive advantage.

PacketMotion unveiled its new PacketSentry with Virtual Segmentation solution as a method for efficiently meeting Payment Card Industry’s Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliance mandates. Consisting of PacketSentry Manager(s) and Probe(s), PacketSentry with Virtual Segmentation manages multiple control activities concurrently, including privileged user controls, in-scope systems change management, and data access audits. PacketSentry is comprehensive enough to adapt to ever-changing controls to accommodate PCI DSS requirements that are updated frequently, addressing one of the industry’s biggest challenges to meeting PCI DSS compliance mandates.

Progress Software Corporation announced today that user interface flexibility is a key focus of the enhancements within the latest version of Progress OpenEdge. The OpenEdge SaaS platform simplifies the development and deployment of business applications to numerous users and devices, an increasingly important factor for Cloud Computing. Productivity enhancements center on the platform’s integrated development environment, Progress OpenEdge Architect. The latest version reduces the time required to develop applications that can simultaneously deploy through multiple UIs.
