HP unveiled three new releases to it HP Converged Infrastructure portfolio. Built for high-performance clusters or financial service applications, the HP BladeSystem c7000 Platinum enclosure provides 40 GB downlinks to each blade and features the SX1018 HP Ethernet switch, which is four times faster than previous HP switches. The HP ProLiant WS460c Generation 8 Server Blade supports virtualized client solutions with high-density 3D graphics and eight GPUs per blade server. The HP StoreSystem, a channel-only midrange storage solution, combines HP 3PAR StorServe Storage and HP StoreOnce Backup systems, combining primary block-and-file storage and information protection in one system.
KnowledgeTree unveiled its suite of cloud-based sales and marketing tools for leveraging collateral. The solution enables collateral discovery, by automatically categorizing materials by business concept; identifies trends and manages feedback; and streamlines the process for editing and approving content.
Informatica launched Informatica Cloud Spring 2013, its suite of new and enhanced cloud-based integration and data management applications. The new Informatica Cloud Data Masking service protects data privacy in application development and test environment, allowing users to define custom data masking rules both on-premise and in the cloud. The new Informatica Cloud Extend, featuring Active Endpoints technology, creates and maintains workflows for salesforce.com users. Informatica Cloud MDM Salesforce Multi-Org Support standardizes, cleanses and consolidates data from multiple instances of salesforce.com, enabling improved records standardization and deduplication. Informatica Cloud Contact Validation Service 2.0, now certified by USPS, increases address accuracy and automatically qualifies customers for significant mailing discounts. Enhancements to security and administration features include hybrid security options for storing connection credentials and the ability to schedule organization-wide blackouts during upgrades.
Lionbridge unveiled a suite of four enterprise crowdsourcing solutions, offering access to more than 100,000 professionals across 110 countries. Lionbridge ECS’ Crowd Translation solution aggregates and translates content for a global audience, taking into account local idioms and cultural differences. Lionbridge ECS’ Testing solution allows product managers to streamline the testing process, including those for mobile apps, devices, user experience, functionality and geolocation accuracy. Lionbridge ECS’ Data Management solution integrates data capture, data enrichment (including the addition of metadata tags, attributes and annotations), and data cleansing and normalization. Lionbridge ECS’ Custom Crowd solution scales and customizes the pool of professionals utilized for all Lionbridge Enterprise Crowdsourcing solutions.
Melissa Data unveiled the Global Data Quality Suite, its latest solution for contact data quality and address management. Users can verify international addresses, geocode street addresses by adding latitude and longitude coordinates, and checks international phone numbers against Melissa Data’s proprietary database, sourced from multiple telecommunication companies.
NetIQ announced two new virtual appliances. SocialAccess 1.0, which enables users to sign on to an organization’s site using common social media identities (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, etc.), features remote identity access, authentication via OAuth and OpenID Connect and support for cluster configurations. CloudAccess 1.1 offers a federated single sign-on for multiple SaaS applications; the solution automates SaaS onboarding, produces access compliance reports and features an advanced provisioning engine.
SAP launched SAP Sybase IQ 16, the latest version of its disk-based column store analytics server for enterprise data warehousing and analytics. A component of the SAP Real-Time Data Platform, this release integrates with SAP HANA, accommodates petabyte-scale data loads and features row-level versioning technology.
ServiceMesh unveiled Agility Platform 9.0, its solution for cloud management, governance and security. Designed for enterprise-level use, upgrades include application-level configuration management, graphical application blueprints, an expanded service store, policy-driven storage tiering, a new SDK, and expanded support for Microsoft Azure IaaS, VMware vSphere 5.1 and VMware vCloud Director 5.1.
Teradata unveiled Teradata Aster Discovery Platform 5.10. Features include visual SQL-MapReduce functions, support for PMML execution via Zementis and integration of Attensity’s text and sentiment analytic capabilities.
Vitria unveiled Vitria Operational Intelligence 4, which combines real-time analytics, streaming events and business processes on one platform. Available on-premise on in the cloud, updated features include a single dashboard for data from disparate sources, a multi-tiered, clustering architecture, and real-time monitoring and measurement of process outcomes.
WANdisco announced the WANdisco Hadoop Console, enabling users to deploy, monitor and manage an enterprise-class Hadoop big data implementation with minimal HBase or HDFS knowledge. The solution can be deployed virtually (as VMware or Linux) or as a physical appliance; it also supports multitenancy, LDAP integration, as well as public-to-private cloud migration.
WhereScape unveiled WhereScape 3D, its design solution for planning and testing data warehousing and BI projects. A pre-ETL solution for risk-assessed agile development, WhereScape 3D profiles existing source systems, analyzes new and updated source systems, and proofs a custom schema design or purchased data model against available source system data.
