CA Upgrades ARCserve Line, Embarcadero Unveils New Development Tools, More

CA announced the latest evolution of the CA ARCserve Family of Products designed to provide total protection, recovery and availability for customers’ systems, applications and data. The major new releases of CA ARCserve Backup, CA ARCserve Replication, CA ARCserve High Availability (formerly CA XOsoft Replication and High Availability), and an innovative new disk-to-disk backup and restore product, CA ARCserve D2D, help organizations control their critical data anywhere, anytime as business needs change.

Embarcadero Technologies released Rapid SQL XE, the latest version of its integrated development environment (IDE) that enables developers and database administrators (DBAs) to produce high quality SQL code faster. Rapid SQL XE includes direct native support for heterogeneous database environments from a single user interface, and debuts support for Embarcadero InterBase and the open-source Firebird database, in addition to full Unicode support.

Iomega announced an advanced entry in its lineup of network storage products with the launch of the new Iomega StorCenter ix12-300r Network Storage array. Incorporating industry-leading enterprise-class EMC storage technologies, the StorCenter ix12-300r is a rackmount storage device for small and medium businesses, as well as small enterprise locations such as workgroups, departments and distributed/branch offices that require expandability, reliability and advanced capability features without the need for a dedicated IT staff.

kCura announced the launch of Relativity Six, the newest version of their e-discovery software. The release includes changes to the platform core that enhance speed and scalability, as well as innovations to end-user functionality, providing greater insight into case data.
