March 24, 2010 – Sybase 365 is bringing its new hosted service for messaging traffic analysis to market, Sybase Operator Analytics 365.

Based on the latest version of the company’s columnar analytics server, Sybase 365 boasts “industry-first” advancements providing mobile operators with a hosted business intelligence application to run deep analytics on messaging traffic.

Mobile operators are going to require increasing insight into their network with the soaring popularity of mobile messaging, according to Dan Vesset, IDC analyst and program vice president for business analytics.

“Comprehensive analytics will enable operators to strengthen their quality of service through predictive analysis by quickly identifying and resolving network issues to drive higher quality service and better predict messaging trends to improve network planning,” he said.

With a point-and-click interface users can perform complex queries without SQL knowledge or database administrator assistance, according to the release. By performing advanced analysis on message traffic, users can monitor behavior and provision networks to view performance trends, analyze system history, track error messages and trouble shoot problems. It also provides a range of reports including message traffic, network utilization, performance indicators and quality of service testing.
