RelayHealth App Tests 5010 Transactions

The RelayHealth unit of San Francisco-based McKesson Corp. has introduced free software enabling its health insurer clients to test compliance with the new HIPAA 5010 transactions.

Insurers must have an electronic data interchange connection with RelayHealth to use the Web-based TestTrack5010 application. It enables testing using a payer's own production data in batch and real-time.

The application also enables the performance of gap analyses by comparing content of 4010 and 5010 transactions, conversion of 4010 files to 5010-compliant transactions, creation of benefit-specific 5010 test scenarios, and review of transaction details of selected items within batch claims, according to the vendor.

More information is available at testtrack5010.com.
