May 18, 2010 – Composite Software, Inc. announced the latest version of its Composite Information Server Data Virtualization Platform.

The updated platform includes a broad range of updates from a new discovery product to expanded access to Oracle’s Essbase, says Robert Eve, vice president of marketing at Composite Software.

Updates include: Composite Discovery 2.0, an enterprise data entity and relationship discovery tool used for preparing data models and performing intelligent queries; an intelligent adapter that allows SQL developers to access to Oracle Essbase; Composite Monitor, a new management console; and Composite Information Server, which adds support for NTLM and Novell E-directory security authentication enhancements and a number of new optimization algorithms.

By meeting the need for increasingly virtualized and agile approaches to data integration, the platform updates are will benefit global enterprises, according to Shawn Rogers, vice president of business intelligence research at EMA.

“The data virtualization market is growing fast and as it does customers are demanding a more sophisticated solution to support their needs,” says Rogers. “Composite is in an excellent position to meet this growth trend. The latest release of Information Server Data Virtualization Platform demonstrates their knowledge of the space and delivers features to meet market demand.”

It’s the “uber demand” for an agile cost approach to data integration in the market and enterprise scale deployment that Eve cites as the two major drivers for the new release.
