March 30, 2011 – SunGard said it acquired ValueLink Information Services, a United Kingdom firm that validates financial data for investment managers.

No terms were disclosed.

The acquisition will extend SunGard’s Asset Arena suite of software products for investment managers.

Added will be the ability to validate the prices of securities as well as funnel in more corporate actions information.

This will help, the firm said, firms value their funds and improve their reporting processes.

The purchase is not expected to materially affect SunGard’s financial results. ValueLink’s revenue and net income results are not disclosed.

ValueLink provides a managed data service. The service consolidates pricing and corporate actions data from numerous sources. The service includes inter-vendor and client-specific price analyses.

SunGard’s Asset Arena provides accounting and operational support for mutual funds worldwide. ValueLink will become part of SunGard’s Asset Management business, which will continue to be led by Stephen Choate.

Asset Arena supports the core functions of the asset management industry including investment management, investment operations and investor servicing.

ValueLink was established in 1989 to provide data validation services to fund administrators.
