October 16, 2009 – iDashboards  has announced the availability of iDashboards 6.5, the newest version of its enterprise business intelligence dashboard solution. Features of iDashboards Enterprise Edition 6.5 were designed to improve the user experience, including what-if analytics, video capability, multiple language support and an enhanced user interface.

According to the press release, iDashboards 6.5 enhancements include the ability to incorporate free-hand text within the dashboard and embed Flash video within a dashboard, stoplight and speedometer themes, and compatability with Windows Mobile  and Nokia N and E Series phones using Skyfire mobile browser.
In an Information Management article, authors Shadan Malik, Dan Germain write that “data visualization has evolved into a dynamic discipline that is opening up new doors for the exploration and analysis of complex data sets for a wide range of businesses.” Dashboards are frequently used for helping executives and other professionals to measure and monitor key performance indicators that make a difference in their business.

This release follows the recent announcement of iDashboards In Cloud, a software-as-a-service application housed on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
