December 15, 2009 - Information Builders, a BI provider, and ParAccel, provider of MPP columnar database management systems for data warehousing and analytics, yesterday announced a strategic partnership.

The goal of the partnership is to help organizations improve the speed of customized advanced analytic solutions. Combined, Information Builders and ParAccel hope to offer businesses improved insight from ever growing volumes of data. This insight can aid organizations to anticipate changing business patterns and gain competitive opportunities. The partnership teams a BI tool with an analytic database platform, and links organizations to a support network for building business analytics solutions to meet their specific needs.

The growing importance of advanced analytics is further evidenced by Gartner's having named it a top strategic technology for 2010 as well as the recent TDWI survey that showed about 50 percent of respondents will replace their analytic platforms in the next three years.

“Businesses want to extract actionable insights from their data in timeframes that let business managers make impactful operational decisions,” said Kim Stanick, VP, Marketing, ParAccel.  “Our working alongside Information Builders, a pioneer in business intelligence tools, means that as businesses upgrade their analytic capacity they can access a dedicated team that has the skills and tools to deliver sophisticated analytic solutions quickly and efficiently.”
