Fiserv Enables Online Banking Transformation for The Westpac Group

Meridian Energy Selects Martin Dawes Analytics
Meridian Energy has selected the Lavastorm Analytic Engine to ensure the accuracy of tariffs.

National Life Group Adopts Attunity’s CDC and Data Replication Software
National Life Group, a Fortune 1000 insurance company, adopted Attunity's CDC and data replication software to enable operational business intelligence and enterprise master data management in order to increase operational efficiencies and productivity.
“As a large organization, consisting of several companies, offering many products, and supporting hundreds of agents, we have master data spread across many systems, ranging from legacy mainframes to modern SQL Server databases. We set in place our ‘Data Initiative’ project in order to deliver accurate, consistent, and integrated data in real-time, so our agents can leverage it to be more effective,” explained Jarugumilli Brahmaiah, enterprise architect and data initiative leader at National Life Group.
Excellus BlueCross BlueShield picks SAS
Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, the largest nonprofit health plan in upstate New York, wanted to provide its actuarial team with more time to analyze data and predict future membership trends and medical claims expenses. To do so, Excellus BCBS turned to SAS.
“In a typical year, we deal with more than 100 million member and claims records,” said Joseph Randazzo, Excellus BCBS manager of actuarial services. “The amount of data is too large to manage with Microsoft Office Access databases. With SAS, you can just kick off a process flow and work on something else while waiting for the results.”
EERE Division of the U.S. Department of Energy Selects MindServer
The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) selected Recommind's MindServer Categorization and MindServer Search solutions to enhance the department's information management efforts.
MetroPCS Connects with Netezza’S TwinFin
MetroPCS Wireless, Inc., a leading provider of contract wireless communications services, selected the Netezza TwinFin appliance and ADRM Software’s CDMA Wireless Data Model to be the foundation for its enterprise data warehouse.

SAS to Help Connecticut Analyze Student Assessment Data
The Connecticut State Department of Education will use SAS to integrate, analyze and report on student assessment data, including school accountability data, with the goal of identifying factors important to student success.
“SAS software, plus the vast experience SAS brings to the K-12 arena, will help Connecticut better educate its students, enhance schooling effectiveness and build a more productive 21st-century work force,” said Dr. Robert J. Lucco, Chief, Connecticut State Department of Education Bureau of Student Assessment.
Siemens to Deploy Front-End BI Solution from Information Builders
Siemens chose WebFOCUS as its global front-end business intelligence solution for new reporting applications and will add the BI platform to its list of standard platforms.
"In the tendering process, the front-end BI solution WebFOCUS from Information Builders scored the highest in terms of functionality, technology and price," explains Jürgen Strahwald, head of the Governance department at Siemens AG's Corporate Information Technology Center in Munich. "The software from Information Builders is a convincing solution. The first applications will be up and running in time for the new fiscal year in October 2010." Nathan Jagoda, country manager for Information Builders Deutschland, adds: "We consider the introduction of Information Builders as the front-end business intelligence solution for Siemens to be a trendsetting decision."
