CA’ s New Solution Manages ARRA Grants

July 20 - CA, Inc. today announced the availability of CA Clarity Grants Manager On Demand, a software as a service solution that helps states and municipalities to manage and report on all of their grants, including funds originating from the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009 (ARRA).

Complete transparency and accountability is required for grants funded by ARRA stimulus money, and CA Clarity Grants Manager On Demand has included functionality to meet the stringent federal auditing and reporting requirements. Based on the CA Clarity Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) On Demand platform, CA Clarity Grants Manager On Demand automates the grants management process so organizations can start managing funds and meeting ARRA reporting requirements right away, with little or no capital investment.

As outlined in the Gartner Inc. report, “ARRA: One More Good Reason to Modernize Local Governments' Grantee Management Tools,” PPM [project and portfolio management] applications and grant management applications offer capabilities to more comprehensively address data and process integration across the grant lifecycle when compared to office automation tools.

Massimiliano Claps, Research Director, Gartner, said in the announcement, “Cities and counties that are using office automation tools should consider replacing those systems with newer PPM or commercial off-the-shelf grant management solutions.”

SAP and IBM are also offering ARRA solutions.
