Amazon.com’s Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) announced that the AWS Marketplace, an online store that lets companies find and immediately start using software, now supports Windows-based software and other new product categories including big data solutions.

Windows users will now be able to use AWS Marketplace to find, deploy and use popular application infrastructure, development tools and business software, AWS says. As with all products in the AWS Marketplace, customers pay only for what they use and can scale their software up or down as needed.

Windows Server software now available in the AWS Marketplace include products from Parallels Software, MicroStrategy and Quest Software. This includes Parallels Software’s Plesk Panel, a hosting control panel solution; MicroStrategy’s MicroStrategy 9.3 business intelligence platform; and Quest Software’s Toad database productivity software, which helps companies support Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL databases running on AWS.
