Actian Corporation announced the general availability of the Actian Analytics Platform – Hadoop SQL Edition. Powered by Actian’s patent-pending vector processing engine, the Hadoop SQL Edition unleashes the record-breaking capabilities of the X100 engine across every node of the massively scalable Hadoop architecture.

Actuate Corporation, The BIRT Company and the provider of personalized analytics and insights, announced the immediate availability of BIRT iHub F-Type. The new software boosts open source BIRT developers’ productivity through free access to the features and power of the commercial BIRT iHub enterprise-grade deployment platform, with metered output capacity.

ASG Software Solutions announced the availability of ASG-Mobius Luminist, allowing users to easily access corporate content stored in an ASG-ViewDirect repository directly from an Apple iPad. The ASG-ViewDirect Suite brings together all of an organization’s content, regardless of type, platform or environment, to provide a unified view of corporate information.

Cambridge Semantics, a provider of smart data solutions driven by Semantic Web technology, announced the launch of its Anzo Smart Data Integration (ASDI) software to help enterprises rapidly understand and integrate information assets. ASDI uses common, conceptual business models to automate traditional data integration tasks, eliminating the need for hand-coding and direct data exchanges between teams.

DataStax, a provider of a distributed database management system that delivers Apache Cassandra to the enterprise, announced the general availability of DataStax Enterprise 4.5 (DSE 4.5). DSE 4.5 delivers blazing performance and is now even easier to develop against, deploy and operate. With this release, CIOs can more readily align enterprise technology with business requirements and are free to focus on delivering innovative customer-facing
applications.

EXASOL AG, the provider of the EXASolution engine for analytics and data warehousing, announced the latest release of EXASolution Version 5. EXASolution Version 5 provides even better performance and a completely new in-database analytic tool called Skyline to enable "Preference Analytics." Preference Analytics helps remove subjective elements from the analysis process, giving businesses greater confidence in query findings, predictive analytics and enabling better, more agile decision-making as a result.

GoGrid, a provider of Open Data Services (ODS), announced the release of the only SSD and High RAM cloud servers on 10-Gbps network fabric available on-demand and across multiple data centers. Tailored to run high-volume, real-time workloads that ensure maximum availability and unmatched capacity for failover, the enhanced GoGrid infrastructure provides the perfect backbone to support the substantial data demands created by the emerging Internet of Things (IoT) and related applications.

InfiniDB, a provider of high-performance analytic data platforms, released version 4.6 of its fourth generation columnar data platform. The latest version includes enhanced support for large-scale join operations and support for additional data load commands to speed the extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) process.

Magnitude Software, a provider of enterprise information management software, announced version 9.1 of the Kalido Information Engine. The newest release includes significant functionality enhancements to enable customers to rapidly implement data warehouse and master data management solutions while reducing build and operating costs, and diminishing overall project risk.

Oracle announced Oracle BPM Suite 12c, which helps organizations plan and manage their entire business architecture. Oracle BPM Suite 12c includes improvements to the product's Business Activity Monitoring and Business Architecture Modeling features and enhanced support for Adaptive Case Management and Oracle Process Accelerators.

Red Hat announced the general availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, the latest major release of the company's flagship operating system. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 not only lays the foundation for the open hybrid cloud and serves enterprise workloads across converged infrastructures, but it also pushes the operating system beyond today’s position as a commodity platform, effectively redefining the enterprise operating system.

Semarchy announced today the release of Semarchy Convergence for MDM 3.0, improving the previous version for an even more effective way to drive value from consolidated master data. Convergence for MDM 3.0 takes Semarchy’s Evolutionary MDM to a new level with a simplified user experience, greater control over visual composition of the data forms, enhancements to the logical modeling and new plug-ins.

TIBCO also announced the general availability of Jaspersoft 5.6 on the Amazon Web Services Marketplace. Customers can benefit from virtualized blending of relational and Big Data sources such as MongoDB, Hadoop and Cassandra, as well as more powerful analytic calculations and visualizations.

Unitrends, a multi-environment data protection and disaster recovery company, announced the availability of Unitrends Virtual Backup (UVB) 8.0, a purpose-built virtual appliance providing hypervisor-level protection for VMware, Microsoft and Citrix. Formerly known as PHD Virtual Backup, this Unitrends product release features performance and management enhancements that simplify virtual data protection, speed backup and recovery, and allow organizations to back up entire multi-hypervisor environments in just four mouse clicks.

WSO2 announced the availability of WSO2 Private PaaS 4.0, a comprehensive, enterprise-grade platform as a service based on the Apache Stratos PaaS 4.0 foundation released earlier this month. The launch supports the growth of cloud-enabled connected businesses that demand a PaaS capable of handling the disparate applications and tools used by companies, their customers and partners.
