NetSuite is forming a partnership with accounting and consulting firm Burr Pilger Mayer to launch a new cloud consulting practice.

The partnership will be centered around NetSuite’s cloud-based financials and enterprise resource planning (ERP) offerings. Burr Pilger Mayer (BPM) is one of the largest accounting and consulting firms in California.

“We knew that our cloud integration practice needed to be anchored by a partner that would provide stability, scalability, and a wide range of vertical market solutions,” Steve Mayer, chief executive of BPM said in a statement.

Mayer added NetSuite was able to meet the demands of its clients, many of whom operate international businesses. BPM plans to leverage NetSuite’s OneWorld, a cloud computing-delivered application which enables multi-nation and multi-subsidiary companies to manage their global finances and operations in real-time.

It added that NetSuite’s support of multi-currencies and multi-languages were key factors behind its decision to forge the partnership.

NetSuite has been actively seeking out consulting partners to boost its cloud practice. In May it announced it would partner with RSM McGladrey, an assurance, tax and consulting firm, headquartered in Bloomington, Minn. to offer its cloud-based financials and ERP offerings. It has also partnered with Baker Tilly Virchow Krause of Chicago, a full service accounting and advisory firm, to create a cloud computing consulting practice.
