GigaSpaces Technologies announced the beta release of its cloud application platform, Cloudify. Focused on delivering platforms for large-scale critical applications, Cloudify can deploy any middleware stack, regardless of a non-relational data store or other components, and comes with a set of plug-ins for common public and private clouds.
IBM made multiple releases at its Information on Demand 2011 conference. Those included: BigInsights analyzes structured and unstructured data and brings analytics to the cloud and into Hadoop clusters; IBM Netezza Network Analytics Accelerator, an analytics appliance for communications service providers to pore over data and track network health; and IBM Content and Predictive Analytics for Healthcare, for health care professionals to extract medical information for relationships in large data sets.
Infor released the latest version of its workforce management solution. Infor10 WFM (Workbrain) includes additional functionality for labor law compliance, accelerated mobility access, enhancements to its rule-based schedule process, more language support, and a new user interface.
uptime software Inc. released the latest version of its IT systems management performance and capacity software for mid-market and enterprise organizations. up.time 6 introduces auto-discovery and alerts for thousands of virtual machines, notifications of server sprawl, enhanced monitoring of power usage, and more capacity reporting and forecasting.
VAI made enhancements to its Web-based BI tool, S2K Analytics. Along with new dashboards, S2K Analytics features enhancements to view balance sheets, analyze profit data, monitor procurement and expense management, create ad hoc self-service inquiries, integrate information with Excel, and build and share reports and dashboards.
