Cisco launched updates to its infrastructure switch line, Catalyst 6500. Catalyst 6500 includes connections for more devices and video traffic, its 2-terabit card Supervisor Engine 2T, and added access to cloud computing and mobile business models.

Datawatch Corporation announced the availability of Monarch 11, its report analytics solution. Capabilities enhanced in the new version include a more robust modeling engine, improved scalability for enterprise applications and updates to its Microsoft Office-style user experience.

LITEBI unveiled its new cloud computing BI platform, LITEBI 3. New to LITEBI 3 are a balanced scorecard module, new Web/AJAX user interface and completely SaaS/cloud platform access.

OpenText made a number of updates to its Metastorm business process management software suite. New to Metastorm BPM version 9.1 and Metastorm Smart Business Workspace are embedded collaboration points and searches, user profiles for skill set optimization and personalized workspace features. In addition, OpenText added updates and customization to its Metastorm Business Performance Intelligence Dashboards.

Oracle made enhancements to its Oracle CRM On Demand Release 19. Features added to the updated release include new cloud extensibility and mobile choices, automatic access updates, new connected smartphone applications and a new Microsoft Outlook user interface.

 

rPath put out its new OpenStack Compute Appliance. Designed to enable IT to deploy and upgrade their OpenStack software faster and with greater ease, the new appliance includes capaibilities for automatic deployment, configuration and updates to the cloud platform on both physical and virtual infrastructures.

Solver Inc. released version 3.0 of BI360, its Excel-based business intelligence suite. Enhancements to the new version include: multi-sheet reports; copying designs; an automated report scheduling and distribution module; security templates across departments; and refined budget input logic.

Stonefield Software Inc. released the latest version of its Stonefield Query for Sage ERP Accpac, Sage ACT!, Sage Pro ERP, Sage Timberline Office, Sage SalesLogix and Sage BusinessVision Accounting. New to this Stonefield Query 4.1 software line are an enhanced user dashboard and wizard, data views akin to those presented in the application and capabilities to create reports within hours.

Sybase Inc. announced the availability of Sybase IQ 15.3. Powered by a new generation of massively parallel processing technology, new features include a grid-based framework for accessing data across large sets, automatic workload balancing, built-in Web services API and capabilities for grouping physical servers.
