Akitio launched Taurus Mini Super-S, its desktop storage and management solution. Taurus Mini Super-S is a 2.5” dual bay SATA enclosure with a built-in LCD display and two FW800 ports for daisy chaining, as well as a new interface and USB 2.0 speed.

Birst Inc. made available its Birst Mobile for the Apple iPad. The mobile SaaS BI offering includes dashboard exploration through touch and gestures, secure access to data on-premise or in the cloud, and access to insights saved offline.

eCommerce Industries Inc. released version 8.0 of ECi M1, its ERP solution for manufacturing. New to the release are updated dashboards, further integration of BI tools, inclusion of Google Maps, and new Design Studio wizards for customization design and delivery.

Nebula announced its first cloud appliance offering. Nebula will offer a turnkey OpenStack hardware appliance aimed at business deployment of large cloud infrastructures from thousands of inexpensive computers. A commercially available version of the product is expected to be rolled out by mid-2012.

Raxco Software expanded its product line beyond disk defragmentation and optimization for businesses and consumers. New products include: PerfectCache Server, with, at its core, a storage volume filter for frequently used disk data in the system memory; PerfectRegistry, for fixing invalid registry errors; and PerfectUpdater, for automatic system scanning and updating.

Tableau Software released Tableau 6.1, the new version of its business intelligence platform. Updates include touch screen optimization for Mobile Safari and the iPad, like controls for filters and scrolling, along with an app for 6.1. Other enhancements have been made to the speed and automation of its in-memory data engine, and localization and language functionality. 

ten24 Web Solutions unveiled Slatwall, its e-commerce platform. Available as a free plug-in for the Mura Content Management System, Slatwall provides retailers with features including shopping cart and promotions, inventory cataloging, and third-party integration.

Tom Sawyer Software put out the latest generation of its visualization and analytics solution. Tom Sawyer Perspectives, Version 3.0, features a resource development framework data integrator, social network analysis capabilities, and a new foundational architecture for agile expansion in future releases.
