Attenda Helps BSI Launch e-Commerce Service Worldwide

Attenda Limited announced that it has been awarded a three-year contract with BSI to deliver a managed service to support BSI's new e-commerce solution. The new Web site is being used to promote BSI standards, publications, certifications and training courses to its worldwide audience.

BSI Group is a business services provider to organizations worldwide, offering a range of services for management system certification, product testing and certification and standardization.

BSI British Standards is the National Standards Body of the UK, with a reputation for independence, integrity and innovation in the production of standards that promote best practice, publishing up to 2,000 standards each year. BSI develops and sells standards and standardization solutions to meet the needs of business and society, with clients at 60,000 sites in more than 100 countries.

Following a competitive tendering process, Attenda has been awarded a three-year contract to provide the new infrastructure for the BSI e-commerce applications and to deliver operational management and support of these applications on a 24x7 basis. The Attenda solution comprises a multi-tiered web, application and database system based upon core Microsoft technologies - Commerce Server 2002 and Biztalk Server

2006 - with data held in a SQL Server 2005 Enterprise cluster. The solution, deployed in a rapid timeframe to meet BSI's ambitious go-live deadlines, is built upon Attenda's industry defining IT operations platform Attenda M.O. and provides BSI with advanced monitoring and management 24x7 to continuously check transactional integrity and application security.
